School Nutrition Program

Fireside School is honoured to provide a school nutrition program", supported by Alberta Health Services. We offer healthy and nourishing snacks to our students. Many students are up early, have a long bus ride and are hungry when they arrive at school. We are happy to provide supplemental snacks when students feel they need additional food throughout the day.

We also have the RVS Food for Thought program, supported by community food banks, and other agencies.  We provide nutrition for students who require an extra snack, forgotten lunch or are still hungry.

This is a collaboration within the RVS communities to provide a food program partnering health, schools and community. Food For Thought is a non-profit organization, fully funded by grants, donations, volunteers and in-kind services. To learn more, please refer to the RVS website.
