School Supplies

All Students

  • Students need a backpack, water bottle, and nutritious lunch and snacks.

Grades K-4

  • Fireside School has a two shoe policy; students need to change into indoor shoes when they enter the building.

Grades 5-8

  • Students are not required to have a second pair of shoes; However, students are encouraged to have a clean and appropriate pair of shoes for Gym. 

Kindergarten

  • School supplies are provided to students in Kindergarten.

Grades 1-4

  • School supplies are provided to students in Grades 1 – 4.
  • Each student will receive an agenda. Replacement agendas are available from the office for $5.50.

Grades 5-8

  • Students entering Grade 5 and students new to the school in Grades 6 – 8 receive a combination lock for their lockers. School-issued locks are preferred as they offer key override should lock trouble occur. Replacement locks are available from the office for $10.50.
  • Students in Grades 5 – 8 bring their own school supplies.
  • Student supplies required for grades 5 – 8

Grades 7 & 8 - Laptop Computer

Grade 7 & 8 students require the use of a laptop computer.

Math Makes Sense Grades 3 – 9

These are available through subscription access with Pearson Canada.

Pearson Canada School

  • Choose Shop and then your grade level. There will be a heading: Looking for this book as a Pearson etext?
  • Click on Learn more and choose Math Makes Sense - Pearson WNCP Edition 3 – 9 from the list on the left of the screen.
  • Do Not choose the French edition or Ontario edition.
  • $9.98 for a student, one year access.

These are available from McGraw Hill in downloadable format – $9.95 per copy per year.

Our Canada (Grade 7) and Our Worldviews (Grade 8) are not currently available in digital format.

Voices of Canada (Grade 5) and Voices in Democracy (Grade 6) are also not currently available in digital format.
